A December update – the last post before Christmas

Hello everyone. I thought it was time to share with you some new things that are happening in my life right now, and why I’ll soon be missing a few uploads.

As of last Wednesday (19th) my boyfriend and I received our keys to our new house. We are renting a quaint 2 bedroom house not too far from where I lived with my parents, and I’m over the moon we finally managed to do it this year. I am completely loving the house, especially buying cute bits to go into it! So expect a few homeware hauls coming up soon. With that being said, it’s going to take a while to move all our stuff in, and the time between Christmas and new year I had ear marked for blogging will be spent moving, so I will be missing a couple of upload dates.

This year has been filled with mostly positive things for me. As well as the house news, I received a promotion (and 2 pay rises) in work, and I am now a sales supervisor. Although I am still not in the career I thought I would be in by now, I am still really happy to be recognised for my commitment and hard work.

Summer was perfect (although I worked 50+ hours a week over summer) and I managed to save a lot of money to go towards the new house. Our family also became complete with the addition of 2 feline friends – Mia and Rocco – 2 beautiful kitties that we took in when their owner couldn’t look after them anymore. Mia is nearly 1 now, and is growing so quickly, and her big brother will soon be 2.

Aaron and I went on our first abroad holiday together to Ibiza, and we had such a lovely time. I had been a few times before so I was already familiar with the place, which made it much more relaxing.

My blog has taken on a life of it’s own this year. I decided to take the plunge and change from blogger to WordPress, and I am so glad I did! On my old blog I reached 5 followers in a year, whereas on here I have reached over 200 in a few months! I am so happy with the progress, and I know it’s not all about numbers, but it makes it all a bit more worthwhile. Along with this, I have had so many great opportunities working with brands this year. I have done a couple of posts with bakerdays, who are delicious! And I am so pleased with my collaboration with the Cat’s Protection League, who are a charity very close to my heart.

One thing to come out of this year is a new outlook on friendships. I’ve learnt to let go of negativity and people who aren’t interested in my happiness. Life is just way too short.

Merry Christmas everybody, and a very happy new year!

Until next time.

Christmas gifting with Cats Protection (AD)

The 15 questions of Christmas tag

Hi everyone! Today I have another Christmas tag for you. I was very kindly tagged by Anna, so make sure you check out her post! Let’s get straight into it: Christmas tree. Real or fake? I’m very much a fake tree person – they’re just so much easier to deal with, and aren’t spider infested…
