Hello everyone!
If you have read my advent calendar post, you will have seen that I received the Philip Kingsley elasticizer hair mask. I have wanted to try this for so long, as I had heard everyone rave about it, so I thought I would share my review of it.
How to use it
- Apply into damp hair and leave for a minimum of 20 minutes.
- Rinse out and wash your hair as normal
This mask claims to be super-conditioning and adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine to your hair.
I’ve tried this a couple of times now, leaving it on for about half an hour each time. After washing out and drying my hair, I did notice a slight added shine and less tangles, but it wasn’t a major difference in my opinion.
I was so gutted after trying this out. I’d wanted to try it for so long, and it’s always so hyped up, but to me it was just the same as any other mask I’ve used.
I do like it, and I will be using up what I have, but I won’t be rushing out to get a new one. For the price of it, I wasn’t impressed, and I know of so many other hair masks that do the same, if not better for half the price.
What do you think of this mask, have you tried it?
Until next time.

I always hate that, when a product is hyped up and you try it and it’s not what you hoped it was going to be like! I suppose that’s the beauty of things working differently on people, and then at least some people can relate! X

I’ve never used a hair mask before – perhaps I should because my hair is in poor condition. Are there any other good ones on the market?

I’m sorry that you were disappointed with it! I always hate when I expect to love a product and then i’m underwhelmed when I actually use it.

I’ve use the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and found it help make my hair more manageable in the Summer, especially when i am on holiday. I have quite fine hair thats naturally shiny so the only difference I see is how silky smooth my hair is after using this product. I normally pop this on in the evening and leave it one for about an hour or so, maybe try leaving it in your hair for longer especially if you have thick hair.

I feel the same way, it’s nice but I don’t think I would necessarily run out and buy it again!

I’ve heard so much about the elasticizer over the years, I’ve never brought it and I think I’ll steer clear now. Such a shame, especially given the price point! xx

I’ve gotten this in beauty boxes before and actually did quite like it, my hair is quite prone to breakage. I’m not sure I’d buy it outright though as it is a bit overpriced, but it seemed to work for me

I hate that about products! Hyped up products are sometimes really not worth it! I’ve never heard of Philip Kingsley before but I can relate with other products I’ve tried. It’s a shame it didn’t work for you and what you thought it was! That’s really bad.

I am so low-key that I probably won’t ever try it for myself, but my daughter will eventually want to try all the beauty supplies in the world (and she’s only 8)!
