Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog.
I have seen lots of people on youtube doing ‘shop my stash’ videos where they do a full face using products they don’t normally use, and since at the moment I can’t go out anywhere, I thought I would try that out today!
There are 3 different types of products being used:
- New products which I haven’t fully tested yet
- Products sat in my drawer that I never reach for
- Products I use all the time as I don’t have an alternative product to try out
Here’s how I got on!
Base
I’m in the process of using up all the moisturisers we have before I buy any new ones, so I recently started the Body Shop’s Hemp heavy duty face protector. I really love this moisturiser, and I can say it definitely is heavy duty! It’s really thick and makes my skin feel so great afterwards.
To prime I’ve been using the Ordinary high adherence silicone primer. This is nearly empty so I’ve been using it up, but I have actually already bought another one because I really like this product. I put it on my t-zone and it definitely helps with oil throughout the day.
One of my favourite products at the moment is the Primark prep and perfect skin illuminator. I use this under my foundation for a really lovely glow, and I love it.
For foundation I used the Flower Beauty light illusion foundation in the shade nude L3. I used to love this foundation but I haven’t used it in a while. I will admit it does break down a bit throughout the day – probably the reason I don’t wear it much as it doesn’t last a whole day at work without breaking up. It is really lovely and glowy though so it would be great for an evening out or something for a few hours.
Onto concealer and I used a new one to my collection. It is the Maybelline fit me concealer which I really like. I used 2 shades – 10 and 05 – one on my blemishes and the lighter one under my eyes. This is a really great concealer which I find doesn’t crease or go cakey which is perfect.
To set all of this I used the Revolution translucent loose powder. I’ll admit I never normally reach for this, as I find it makes me look a bit cakey, and there are others I much prefer, so I’ve decided I’m going to use it up rather that chuck it out as it’s almost a full pot.
For bronzer I used my current favourite – the L’Oreal back to bronze bronzer. I love this bronzer, it is the perfect shade for me and doesn’t look muddy at all.
A new product in my collection is the bh cosmetics glowing in Greece palette which is the most beautiful palette ever. I used the shade Mykonos as a blush and then the shade Athens for highlight. I’m really impressed with the quality of these shades.
Eyes
Onto eyeshadow, and again I’m using a new palette to my collection. This is the Barry M wildlife palette in the Rhino colour scheme, which let’s face it, screamed my name as soon as I saw it. Now I will admit, this isn’t my favourite eyeshadow palette. I found the shades to be quite patchy, and the really shimmery shade (powerful) I found flakes off so easily and disappears. I was pretty disappointed with this shade. Overall I do like the palette and I think it goes towards a great cause, however I think they could have done better with the pigmentation and quality of the shadows.
My eyeliner, eyebrow and lip products are all my favourites so I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve spoken about them all before so many times. I used the Soap and Glory supercat skinny liner, the NYX eyebrow powder, Benefit’s gimme brow and the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in the shade celebrity skin. I have nothing on my lashes as I currently have extensions.
And that’s everything I used on my face! Let me know your thought on any of these products.
Until next time.

I am in some serious need of new makeup! I love the body shop hemp collection, I think it is one of the best skincare ranges you could go for!

I adore that wildlife eyeshadow and could be tempted to buy it even if I never use eyeshadow
