Plant Pops is a British snack brand that is launching with a three-flavour range of Popped Lotus Seeds that make for an alternative to sweet and savoury snacks. They are on a mission to inspire people to snack differently with their range of plant-based products.

The brand wants to inspire consumers to be adventurous and expand their snacking horizons by producing snacks that are good for individuals, good for the environment and good for the communities that help produce them.

Currently these snacks come in 3 flavours:

  • Himalayan Salt
  • Smoked Chilli
  • Peanut Butter

Made from the seeds of the water lily plant, the snack has been a cultural staple in India for centuries. Plant Pops has updated the product for the UK, still sourcing the seeds directly from local farmers in Bihar, India, where they are sustainably grown and harvested.

The snacks are roasted, not fried, and contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives or palm oil. They are 100% vegan and gluten-free, and each packet is also under 99 calories, making them a great low calorie snack.

After trying these, I can confirm they are the perfect snack for when you’re craving some crisps or popcorn. They have a very popcorn-like texture which satisfies the snacking craving, and the flavours taste incredible, and as they are low in calories I don’t feel too guilty snacking on them!

These can be bought directly from their website, or at various outlets such as Harvey Nichols. More information can be found on their twitter , Instagram or facebook .

Until next time.
