Hi everyone! I don’t know about you, but during this lockdown, even though I have been wearing no makeup the majority of the time, my skin has completely broken out! I recently did a Superdrug order, while shopping for essentials, and got a few skincare bits to try and help my skin during this time.
I got some more eye masks as I had run out. These Garnier ones were on offer so I got 2 of each – the coconut water and the orange juice.
I was recommended this Superdrug own vitamin skin booster which I am really enjoying using. It brightens up my skin and makes it feel great.
This Simple face scrub was half price so I thought I would pick it up to try. So far I’m really liking it, as it’s not too harsh on the skin.
From Asda I got this activated charcoal face mask. This is meant to be pore cleansing and helps with spots so I thought why not give this a go? I’ve used it once so far and I’m really liking it.
From Amazon I decided to get these reusable cotton pads. I’ve wanted to try some of these for a while as I hate how quickly I go through cotton pads. These were £6.99 for a pack of 16 which I think is a great deal, especially when it comes with the laundry bag.
And that’s all the skincare bits I’ve picked up recently. Let me know if there’s anything you recommend!
Until next time.

Great post! My skin has been struggling too!!! I think it’s because I’ve been eating so many snacks 😭. I’m interested in the activated charcoal mask. I like that it has glycolic acid.

I think my skin problems are related to stress and comfort foods which has only been exacerbated by this virus and lockdown. Thanks for sharing your purchase of reusable cotton pads. I need to find some of those.

My skin is also so bad at the minute! I don’t know what’s wrong with it! Feel like I need to switch up my skin care routine!

Thanks for sharing! Skincare is so important. I’ve had the same where even though I haven’t been wearing tonnes of makeup, my skin is still struggling. It’s possible stress.
Love all Superdrug products as I’m into the cruelty free and vegan scene!
I really want to try the reusable pads! I’ve got them on my wishlist hehe.
Thanks for sharing! Stay wonderful!

Oooh I bought myself a pack of reusable cotton pads and they are a godsend ! Definitely a kinder way to remove makeup and better for the environment. What’s your skin type by the way? I have really sensitive skin but I don’t know if the Simple skin scrub will be okay for me…

My skin has not been happy lately, either – and you would think it would be the opposite, given that I haven’t worn makeup in a month!!! I really like all of your suggestions, and I am defintely going to order some – including thereusable cotton pads.

I am in the same boat with my skin, I thought it was because of the face masks I have to wear at work, but maybe it is just the change of season? I love reusable cotton pads, so much better for the environment!
One new thing I have added to my routine is rosehip oil, as I have read that it can be really great in moisturising the skin, as well as fading any marks and reducing breakouts. Only on week one of using, but my skin does look a bit better than it did!
Thanks for sharing!

My skin struggled at the beginning but now it’s actually doing quite well and I’m usually very prone to hormonal acne! I use that vitamin C Skin booster and I love it. It smells delish!

Reusable cotton pads? Interesting. I also feel the same. I have been wearing no makes and my skin is just ridiculous. I guess its allowing it to do its things and cleanse in its own time. Glad to know I’m not the only one. Thanks for the recommendations. Have a great day x

Great post, glad you are sorting your skin out. Staying home for too long can cause skin dryness. I love the idea of the reusable cotton pads. Thanks for sharing 💜

I love my reusable cotton pads! I got them from Amazon, too. I was like you – it kind of annoyed me to buy the disposable ones all the time. I’ve had mine for a year and a half now and I’ll never go back! I get you with the breakouts, too. I finally started getting regular (monthly) facials on advice that I read from Renée Rouleau (love her skincare line but can’t afford much of it). Honestly the facials are the only thing that really work for me. For about two weeks after my facial it doesn’t matter much what I put on my skin, it is happy and clear. And then it starts to be a bit of a battle the week before I go in for my monthy facial. They are expensive but I’ve cut down on what I spend on products at least.
