As you may have seen on instagram, we now have a campervan! So for my birthday we decided to drive down to Cornwall for a couple of days. This is our first trip away in the campervan, so I thought I would share it with you!
So we had a look on a website called Pitchup to find a nice site to stay at. It was imperative for it to have a clean toilet and shower room! We decided on the Gwinear camping and fishing site in Newquay, because judging by the reviews it was very clean.
Over the course of the trip we visited Newquay Zoo and St Ives, and we went for a lovely birthday meal at a restaurant called the Smuggler’s Den Inn which was such a lovely place, with really delicious food.
We settled into campervan life pretty quickly, once we got used to setting everything up and where everything went, and it turned out to be so cosy and comfortable in the van.
I was very kindly sent some Helinox products to take with me on my trip. I received the medium side table and the Helinox Chair One, and I thought I’d share abit about how I got on with them.
Helinox Side Table
“Versatile gifts for campers, beach lovers and festival-goers alike, the Helinox Side Tables are lightweight, packable, practical and elegant. Each table provides a convenient perch for drinks, snacks and other essentials.”
This table I found to be so easy to assemble – even I could do it! You literally just push the legs into the top and you have yourselves a table. It is perfect for on the go as it fits nicely into a carry bag, and is really lightweight. It’s pretty sturdy as well, although I wouldn’t recommend putting too much on it at once just in case.

The Helinox Chair One
“The Chair One is extremely portable, lightweight and packable, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, wherever they go. The Helinox Chair One combines the DAC aluminium alloy technology that is applied to the most advanced tents and very clever design to deliver a comfortable and multi-purpose seat.”

Like the table, this chair is really easy to assemble, and although it looks small, it’s actually a really good size! It comes in a tiny little bag which is perfect for carrying around with you. It’s really comfortable to sit in and is so brilliant for taking around with you because of its tiny size. I will definitely be using this a lot in the future!

We had a fantastic few days away in the camper, and can’t wait to go out in it again!
Until next time.

I’d love to have a camper! That sounds like such a lovely holiday and an easy way to get away for a few days too – especially in today’s climate with the lack of travel! xxx

I love camping, and our family has enjoyed many camping trips together – mostly tent camping, but we did rent a tent trailer once and it was nice. I love the portability of the Helinox table and chair you reviewed. They look ideal for camping.

Owning a camper van is literally my biggest life goal if I am honest! I plan on getting one when the kids leave home, I want to see as much of the world as I can in my very own camper van.
