Hi everyone, happy new year! Thank goodness 2020 is over, am I right?

I’m kicking this year off with a first for this blog – Veganuary! I’m not fully taking part this year, but being vegetarian I love trying out vegan products anyway all year round, so I thought I would feature some vegan content for you all! Here are a couple of food and drink ideas for a little January pick-me-up.

Speedy BOSH! Cookbook

I wanted to start with a cookbook which I just LOVE the look of! This is the Speedy BOSH! book, which is full with over 100 mouthwatering plant-based dishes you can get on the table in 30 minutes or less. “It is the fourth cookery book from Sunday Times No.1 bestselling authors Henry and Ian, aka โ€˜the vegan Jamie Oliversโ€™, packed with outrageously tasty, super speedy dishes made without meat, eggs or dairy.

Ombar chocolate

I was recently sent these chocolate bars by the brand Ombar and I really liked them! All of their ingredients are vegan and organic, such as whole, unrefined coconut sugar. This is a healthier alternative to the refined sugar in most chocolate. They taste great and I would definitely recommend them. You can pick them up in quite a few places including Amazon.

NOUGHTY – alcohol-free, vegan sparkling Chardonnay

I have recently discovered a brand called Thomson&Scott, who have launched the first organic,
vegan, alcohol-free sparkling chardonnay, with almost half the sugar content of traditional alcohol-free sparkling wines. It is produced with 100% organic Chardonnay grapes from southern Spain, and is de-alcoholized using a historically patented method that avoids adding any unnecessary sugar or artificial aromas to the bottle, making it as pure as it can be. You can pick this up from Amazon as well as other retailers.

“Everyoneโ€™s obsessed with whatโ€™s in their food now, but still hardly anyone considers whatโ€™s in their wine bottle.โ€

Montezuma’s truffle bites

These are 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate and Peanut Butter Truffle Bites, which are both gluten-free and vegan. “We feel that chocolate should always put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. These nutty, dark chocolate balls with a creamy peanut butter centre, definitely do it for me!”

These look delicious, and all of their packaging is 100% recyclable, bio-degradable or compostable at home.

Candy Kittens sweets

I absolutely love these sweets, especially the sour watermelon flavour. These are vegan friendly and contain no palm oil, which is always a plus! Also there are no artificial colours or flavours and are 100% natural. You can get them in so many places, including Superdrug and Amazon.

  3. Wow, I will be looking for the alcohol-free sparkling wine! I love the fact that it has so much less sugar, as I’m following a low-carb diet. For the past year, I’ve participated a 28-day vegan keto course at the start of each season.

  4. I love candy kittens and brought a few over Christmas. Me and my mum bought the jars of them. This post is helpful. I am hosting a vegan series on my blog, so I found this really interesting. Thank you for sharing.

  5. This is interesting. I’ve looked for good books to get more recipes and didn’t find good ones because I didn’t how to search for them haha. I’m going to check the first one for sure. Thank you for sharing it!

  6. The candy kitten sweets look divine. There’s a vegan cafe in my town, which I absolutely love and miss going into. Hopefully soon.
