My 2021 Autumn plans and bucket list

I feel like at the start of every Autumn, I have so many ideas in my head of things I’d like to do over the season. From full days out to small everyday things, I thought today I’d make a little list of all the things I’d like to do and try to tick some off. There are so many things I never get around to doing so hopefully having a proper list will help me actually achieve them!

A trip to Liverpool

This isn’t necessarily an Autumnal thing, but we have a trip up to Liverpool planned for October half term. I used to go to university in Liverpool, and it’s one of my favourite places, so every year or so we like to go up and visit the city. Half term always falls around my birthday (I work in a school so will be off) so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to have a trip up there! Hopefully we can squeeze in a trip to Chester Zoo too while we’re up there, as I haven’t been there in a few years and it’s too far from me to go up just for the day.

Visit a pumpkin patch

This is something I say I’m going to do every single year, and I never make it. It’s normally either no-one wants to go, the weather isn’t great on the day or something else comes up. I’m DETERMINED to get to one this year and pick my own pumpkin, and of course get the ‘I’m a blogger in a pumpkin field’ photo for instagram!

Carve a pumpkin

One thing that I do every single year is carve a pumpkin. It’s my favourite thing to do this time of year – even though I always make the exact same face! I will definitely be doing one again this year.

Have a pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks

Something I’ve never actually done is drink a pumpkin spiced latte! I feel like the most talked about one is the Starbucks one, but not having a Starbucks in my town makes it difficult! This year I’m going to make the effort to hunt down a Starbucks and try one.

Go and see a firework display

Another thing I do pretty much every year is go and see a firework display. This is a really weird one, because I actually don’t particularly like fireworks and I hate loud bangs! There’s just something about going to an organised display with the music and all the food and hot drink stands. I normally put my ear muffs on so the noise isn’t too much.

Bake Pumpkin shaped gingerbread cookies

I’ve seen lots of people doing this already this year, and I really want to do it too! I love making gingerbread men so I will love making and decorating little pumpkins.

Go for an autumn walk

There’s a severe lack of nice woodland walks around where I live that look beautiful and peaceful. Most of them are known dodgy sites or are always so water logged you can never make it through. I’m making it my mission this year to find a lovely woodland to have a walk in and see all the beautiful autumn colours.

There are so many things I’d love to do in autumn, like visiting Disneyland during Halloween for the parade. Unfortunately that’s not in the cards this year but one day I will make it!

What are some of your bucket list items for Autumn? Be sure to let me know!

Until next time

  1. These are lovely ideas! I keep meaning to go to Starbucks for the PSL but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Good luck with your list; I hope you enjoy the season!
