August 2022 favourites (ad)

This post contains a sponsored section.

The month of August – which I think I say for every month – has honestly gone by so fast. It’s been a very busy month for me and I feel like I’ve just been all over the place. First came a holiday to Cornwall for my Partner’s 30th (!?) birthday which was really lovely. We went with my parents and had a few day trips while we were down there, including Trelissick Gardens and a day in Truro. Myself and Aaron also had a holiday to Zante which was just amazing. We got up to a few things while we were there so I’ll probably do a full post on it soon with some of my recommendations.

If you didn’t know, I run my own little candle business and we released our Autumn/Halloween collection this month as well a brand new website, which you can find here.

There’s currently a few things I’m on the countdown to right now, including the new Amazon Prime Rings of Power. If you weren’t aware I am a big Tolkien fan so I’ve been looking forward to this for a little while now. I’m also starting a new job at the beginning of September – essentially the same job as I already do just in a new school. Finally on the countdown is my sister’s wedding which was postponed due to the C word. It’s finally happening in just a few days which is amazing.

I’ve only got a couple of favourites to share with you this month, and it’s safe to say it’s a random mix of things.

Fashion

I fell in love with this dress I got in the sale from Matalan. I saw it and thought it was the perfect holiday dress, although it’s a little out of my usual comfort zone. I really love how it fits and it made me feel so good wearing it which is rare.

Games

I feel like I’ve been sent back in time – I’ve fallen down the Candy Crush rabbit hole! I randomly downloaded it one day and I honestly can’t stop playing it, I’m currently on level 445. I know, I’m sad!

Blogger of the month

Campo Jac

Campo Jac is a fantastically written blog that follows a 50-something year old English woman making a new life in the Sierra Norte, Spain. Join her as she haphazardly navigates living in the remote mountains whilst learning something new every day. Jacqui pledges to share the good, bad and uncomfortable, the joys and tricky moments of her life in the campo. She has some delicious recipes over on her blog too! Her content makes me so envious and makes me want to up-sticks and move to another country!

There are some amazing posts to read over on the blog, but here are a couple I think you should look at:

The Love of Horses

How to Stay Cool in a Heatwave Off-Grid

You can also find Campo Jac over on Instagram and Twitter too!

Until next time.
