This post contains items gifted for review, however all opinions remain my own.
Back when I first started my blog, I used to do a regular ‘nails of the week’ post, where I’d tell you just that – what nail products I had been using that week. This gave me an incentive to pick out different nail varnishes from my collection and not use the same ones all the time.
Since then, however, I have been stuck in a rut and only ever seem to reach for the same few colours. I’m not a fan of anything too bright or garish, so I tend to just stick with what I know.
I was recently introduced to a new nail varnish brand called Polychroma Polish, which I wanted to talk a bit about today, as I have been lucky enough to try out a few of their polishes myself.
Who is Polychroma Polish?
Polychroma Polish are a vegan & cruelty free nail polish brand, set up in 2021. They believe in products that don’t harm your body, so have created polishes that are ten toxin free, meaning nothing nasty will be absorbed through the nails.
One thing I really love about this brand is that they are committed to being as eco-concious as possible, making sure to use sustainable and plastic free packaging wherever possible. They also offset their carbon footprint using the Ecologi Scheme and are even looking into creating refillable nail polishes to reduce their impact even further.
They have an absolutely huge range of colours and formulas available such as glitter, chromatic, flakey and neon.

My thoughts
I was very kindly sent a few polishes to try out for myself, which are all from the shimmer collection:
- Believe in Yourself – a shimmery, icy blue
- Loud Mouth – a light lilac shimmer
- Petal Metal – a pale pink shimmer
- Essence Driven – a shimmery mauve
I really love the quality of these polishes. They go on like a dream, only needing one coat for a good amount of colour, but they also layer really nicely for a deeper opaqueness. I found they are pretty quick-drying too so you don’t need to hang about for ages waiting for them to dry. Considering how much I use my hands at work, working with chemicals and constantly washing them, the polish lasts really well and doesn’t chip too easily. I’ve found they actually last a lot better than some of the bigger branded polishes that I’ve used! If you’re looking for some cruelty free nail polishes to add to your collection, while supporting a small business, you should definitely check out this brand.
They also have a fab nail care guide on their website to help you get the most of your polish and keep your nails looking fresh.
Have you tried anything from Polychroma Polish yet? Let me know what you think!
Until next time.
