Ok so we’re one month into the year, and it’s been one hell of a busy month! If I thought 2022 was a crazy year for me, I had no idea what was to come. Granted, a lot of it is brought on by myself. But still, there has been a lot of change already this year and I feel like this is just the beginning….
Moving House
We’ve finally found the perfect house for us down in Devon, and as I’m writing this we only have 2 weeks until we move! As you can imagine it’s all go at the moment, with piles of boxes and stuff everywhere. It’s given me the perfect opportunity to have a proper declutter and sort out of my wardrobe, which I have been selling on my Vinted. This is honestly the easiest selling platform I’ve ever used and reccommend trying it out if you haven’t already.
Moving across the boarder into Devon is going to be a bit of a shock to the system. I grew up in quite a big town and went to university in Liverpool, so going to a smaller town with not a lot there is going to be tough. However it’s only half an hour up the motorway to my hometown where my family lives and I know I’ll be back there visiting all the time. I’m looking forward to a fresh start in a new area that’s closer to work, a bigger house and I’m excited for spring to come so I can re-vamp the garden! As it’s an enclosed back garden rather than the open front garden we have now, I have lot’s of ideas for what I’d like to do with it.

Youtube
One thing that has kept me busy this month is Youtube. I finally bit the bullet and started my own channel and I’ve been really enjoying it so far. I’ve been doing homeware hauls, clothing hauls and vlogs so far and I’m planning on filming some house moving content soon. I’m hoping to grow my audience so if anyone fancies subscribing I’d love to have you!
The Flame Game
In terms of my small business, things are moving very slowly. I had a bit of a flurry before Christmas but no-where near the volume of orders I had last year, which is completely understandable considering how things are in the UK right now. I’ve just released a few Valentines bits however I haven’t come out with a whole range as I just haven’t had the time.
Onto a few favourites
This month has brought a couple of new favourites which I wanted to share with you. As always I don’t have a tonne of things that I’ve discovered however I wanted to share the things I have been loving this month.
Beauty
A few months ago I was sent the Doctor A Intensely Exotic Night Repair Moisturiser to try out along with a couple other products from them and in the last few weeks I’ve rediscovered it. It’s a balm that melts down into an oil that is incredibly moisturising, I wake up in the morning with such a fresh feeling face. It’s perfect for this time of year where my skin tends to dry out.

After sorting through my makeup stash in preparation to move I came across this foundation which I used to really love. This is the Collection Lasting Perfection matte foundation and it’s the perfect full coverage foundation for me. My skin has been quite bad recently in terms of breakouts and this is great to help cover them. It also lasts really well throughout the day and doesn’t go oily.

Fashion
My favourite outfit over Christmas was this burgundy midi dress from River Island. One of my friends has it but they bought it a while ago and I’ve been after it for ages, and I finally got my hands on it via Vinted! I wore it to death over the festive period and into the New Year paired with these boots (also a fave) from Primark.

Food
By far my favourite foodie item this month is this amazing vegan burger from Honest Burgers. I posted a full review over on this post as well as this video so for more information check them out.

The view from my window
This is a really random one, but this month I’ve really come to appreciate the views I get from my windows in work. From one I get the most beautiful sunrises most mornings, and from the other I get an amazing view across the fields where a group of deer wander past nearly every day which you can normally catch on my instagram stories. It’s made me appreciate where I work and it just brightens up my day a little more.

Blogger of the month
Sunshine Sarah
Sarah’s blog has been one of my absolute favourites for a long time now. I regularly catch up on her posts, which can be about mental health, midsize fashion, self-care routines life as a vegan and more! She also writes about travel, film & Netflix recommendations, as well as some great lifestyle tips and tricks. Join in the journey of a 30-something year old as she navigates her way through life.

Here are a couple of posts you should take a look at:

What a crazy start to the year for you! I’m moving this year too – around 2.5 hours away from where I live now and sorting out the documents, solicitors, mortgages etc has been a full time bloody job! So stressful! Good luck on your move! ❤ xxx
