The best subscription box for coffee lovers (AD).

This post contains an item gifted for review, however all opinions remain my own.

I don’t know about you, but in recent years as I’ve gotten older, I rely on my morning coffee more and more to function. I used to absolutely HATE coffee, but over the past 5 or so years I’ve liked it more and more, experimenting with different types and flavours, and now it is something in my life that I just can’t imagine being without! Sad, I know.

I was recently reached out to by the lovely people at Blue Coffee Box, who run a subscription service for coffee lovers! Obviously I jumped at the chance to receive a box and share my thoughts.

A coffee subscription box posted to your door

A bit about the brand itself:

Blue Coffee Box was created in 2017 by father and son team Jon and Harvey Butt.

“Each month, we send a letterbox-friendly box containing two bags of freshly roasted coffee with tasting notes and information of the origin and farm where it is produced. New roasters are introduced every month from the UK’s 300 or so craft roasters to hand-roast the beans. These are fresh roasted every week and members can select how they are prepared; whole beans or ground for cafetiere, dripper, aeropress or espresso.

There’s an entire world of coffee that most of us have never experienced. The gift subscription is just as popular as other subscriptions as it is a unique gift that keeps giving and is suitable for any gift-giving situation.”

Membership starts at only £8.99 per month (or less for 3, 6 or 12-month advanced payment). Members can cancel, pause, skip or upgrade any time.

2 coffee pouches received in this month’s box

Here’s what I thought:

The 2 coffees I received were absolutely amazing. You get an information card with each box which tells you all about the coffee – where it’s from, about the roasters and what flavour undertones it has. Mine were almond & orange from El Salvador, and citrus, caramel & toffee from Colombia. I have a cafetiere so I went for that option of what coffee to receive, but you can choose whatever option works for you. The flavour of these coffees was amazing, and you can definitely tell the difference between this and instant.

I really enjoyed this box and I think it’s a really nice way of trying out a range of coffees and supporting different roasters. This would make a great gift for someone as well as it’s really inexpensive for a great box.

Thank-you to Blue Coffee Box for sending out this box to try out. Make sure you go and check them out if you love coffee!

Until next time.

  4. I have heard about a lot of different subscription boxes, but this is my first time hearing about a coffee box. I absolutely LOVE coffee and am a fan of trying all the different flavours. That being said, a box like this would give me the opportunity to try different coffees that I have never even heard of. How amazing is that?
