Trying out Coco and Vanilla cocktails! (AD)

This post includes gifted items sent for review, however all opinions remain my own and I am under no obligation to give a positive review.

I don’t know about you, but nothing screams summer to me more than a good cocktail! I love sitting out in the garden with a cocktail, so when I heard of Coco and Vanilla, I had to try them out. They recently reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try some of their cocktails, to which of course I said yes!

Whether it be an indoor or outdoor event, our bartenders and team can cater to all needs. We can also create recipe cards for you to follow to do it at home yourself. At this present moment we have house cocktails for sale, Alcoholic Ice Popsicles and Pouches on the way. Our cocktails are Handcrafted by us and at present moment 96% of the ingredients are created by us, with other ingredients being bought in.”

The aim is to get this fully in production September time with a launch party, government guidelines permitting. These bottles are not the final product – they are temporary sample bottles.

I was sent across 3 flavours to try. Here’s how I got on:

Spiced Rum and Kola Nut Tonic.
“A baby rum aged for 3 years. Infused with cloves, aniseed, orange peel, plum and cherry peel. The tonic is made from African Kola Nut, Red Cinchona bark, vanilla pod, cloves, aniseed, cinnamon, lemon juice and sugar.”

This one is very autumnal, with the spiced rum giving it a very ‘autumn spice’ flavour. I really liked this one, and I think the flavours were spot on.
Cherry Vodka and Vanilla Cream Soda.
“For taste, the cherries are soaked in vodka which are blended,  boiled and filtered through with vodka to help them combine. The Vanilla Cream Soda is made from Vanilla syrup, lemon, vanilla extract and water, heated and stirred to cool make a syrup and then filtered.”

I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t the biggest fan of this one. I am not a big lover of cream soda and it tastes very strongly of this – extremely sweet. This would be great if you liked cream soda, but for me this just wasn’t the one.

Gin and Juice.

“A Peppercorn and Chamomile Gin, made with black, green and pink peppercorn, aniseed, grapefruit peel. The juice is pressed apples and raspberries, filtered with citrus acid, sugar and water.”

This one was my favourite out of the ones I tried. It’s fruity and sweet but not sickly, and you can definitely taste the gin but it isn’t overpowering in any way. I really enjoyed this one.

These cocktails have an AVB of 17% and are 2 units of alcohol per bottle.
Overall I really enjoyed trying out these cocktails, and I can’t wait for them to officially launch!

Until next time.

  3. Yum I love the idea of bottled cocktails! The gin and juice sounds like a classic summer cocktail but the vanilla and cherry cream soda one sounds SO good and sweet. Thanks for sharing 🙂
